Location : Bodhgaya – Rajgir – Nalanda – Varanasi – Saravasti – Kushinagar – Lumbini – Kathmandu
The most important places of pilgrimage in Buddhism are located in the Gangetic plains of Northern India and Southern Nepal, in the area between New Delhi and Rajgir. This is the area where Gautama Buddha lived and taught, and the main sites connected to his life are now important places of pilgrimage for both Buddhists and Hindus. However, many countries that are or were predominantly Buddhist have shrines and places which can be visited as a pilgrimage.
Day 01: Arr. Bodhgaya
On arrival Gaya airport. Welcome & assistances in airport, then you will be transfer to Bodhgaya hotel. Overnight in a hotel at Bodhgaya.
Day 02:- At Bodhagaya
After breakfast proceed for full day tour to Bodhgaya visit Mahabodhi Temple, Sujata Village, Niranjanariver, 80 feet high lord Buddha Statue & Various international monasteries. Lunch & Dinner at hotel.Overnight at a hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 3 : Bodhgaya / Rajgir – Nalanda / Rajgir / Bodhgaya
B’fast in hotel and then will drive to Rajgir (65 Kms). Visit Gridhkutta (Vulture ‘s peak), World Peace Stupa, Venuvanaram&Bimbisar Prison. Lunch at hotel Rajgir. Drive continue to Nalanda(12 kms) to visit the ruins of world ancient University. It was one of the oldest Universities of the World & International Centre for Buddhist Studies. Evening back to Bodhgaya hotel.Dinner & overnight stay at a hotel in Bodhgaya.
Day 4 : Bodhgaya – Varanasi
Breakfast at hotel then drive to Varanasi (250 kms). On arrival check in to the hotel and then proceed to Sarnath (14 kms), Visit DhamekhaStupa and Deer park. Back to Varanasi. Check-in hotel, Dinner and overnight in a hotel at Varanasi.
Day 5 : Varanasi – Saravasti
Early morning boat ride in Holy river the Ganges. Breakfast and drive toward Saravasti with packed lunch. On arrival, proceed for visit Proceed for visit Saheth (Jetvanaram) &Maheth (AngulimalCaves). Evening, back to hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Nalnada: It was the first residential international university of the world with strength of 2,000 teachers and 10,000 monks’ students from all over the Buddhist world. In Nalanda, visit the ruins of Nalanda University and Nalanda Archaeological Museum. On arrival at Patna, check into the hotel and stay overnight.
Day 6 :Saravasti – Kushinagar
Early morning drive to Kushinagar (approx 260 Kms / 7 hrs) enroute visit Vaishali. On arrival check in to the hotel. Lunch at hotel and then proceed to visit Mahaparinirvana Temple (where Buddha took his last breathe) and RambharStupa (cremation site of lord Buddha) and Japan Temple. Evening back to hotel.Dinner & overnight stay at a hotel.
Day 7 :Kushinagar / Lumbini
Breakfast at hotel and then drive toward Lumbini 170 kms / approx 04 hrs drive) to Lumbini (in Nepal). Kindly obtain double entry visa for India & single entry visa for Nepal). On arrival, check in at hotel. Lunch serve at hotel and then proceed to visit Holy Birth place of Lord Buddha. Evening back to hotel.Dinner & overnight stay at hotel in Lumbini.
Day 8 :Lumbini / Kathmandu: By Flight
Breakfast at hotel.Morning timely transfer to Lumbini (Bharwa Airport) airport to catch flight for Kathmandu. On arrival, met and proceed for lunch in local restaurant. After lunch proceed for visit Swoyambhunath Temple and Durbar Square.Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu
Day 9 : Kathmandu
Breakfast in hotel. Then will process for full day s/seeing of Kathmandu city visit BoudnathStupa, Pashupatinath Temple. Lunch & dinner in local restaurant.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 10 : Kathmandu – Departure
Breakfast in hotel. Then you will be timely transfer to airport to catch flight for onward destination.
