Temples – Tribes & Art

Day – 1 :- Assistance at Bhubaneswar Airport and Transfer to Dhenkanal . Overnight at Dhenkanal Palace.

Day-2: After breakfast visit the people working on Lost Wax process. Post lunch visit. Joranda to see the rituals of monks of Mahima community. O/N at Hotel in Dhenkanal.

Day – 3 :-After breakfast drive to Puri (140 kms) enrout visiting temples in Bhubaneswar like:- Parasurameswar Temple (7^th Century AD.), Mukteswar Temple (10^th Century AD.), Rajarani Temple ( 11^th Century AD.) and Lingaraj Temple ( 11^th Century AD).After lunch drive to Puri en route visiting Dhauli ,Chousathi yogini temple & Pipili. Overnight at Puri.

Day-4: ( Puri-Konark-Puri – 90 kms) After breakfast drive to Konark visit Sun Temple , later walk to visit fishermen village, then drive to Puri along the marine drive to visit Jagannath temple .Overnight at Hotel in Puri.

Day-5: ( Puri- Raghurajpur- Baliguda – 280 kms) After breakfast drive to Baliguda enroute visiting Raghurajpur artisan village , Overnight at hotel in Baliguda.

Day- 6: ( Baliguda – Rayagada -240 kms) Drive to Rayagada through Eastern ghats, enjoy the beauty of landscape and visit Dhokra casting village in Barakhamba. Overnight at Hotel in Rayagada.

Day- 7:(Rayagada- Chatikona- Jeypore – 220 kms) Morning drive to Chatikona Market to see Dongria Kondh tribe, different from others with their distinct hair dresses & jewelery. After lunch drive to Jeypore, visiting Mali and Kondh tribal villages.Overnight in Jeypore. ( Must be on Wednesday)

Day-8:(Jeypore- Onkudeli- 170 kms) After breakfast drive to Onukudeli Market to see one of the most primitive tribe of the world, The Bondas & Gadabas. Overnight at Hotel . ( Must be on Thursday)

Day- 9:(Jeypore-Kunduli-Jagdalpur- 160 kms) After breakfast transfer from hotel to Jagdalpur throughKunduli Tribal market, Kotpad weaving village and Dhurwa tribal market . O/N Bastar Jungal resort.( Must be on Friday)

Day-10:(In Jagdalpur – 100 kms) Morning visit to Bison-horn Maria tribe, famous for their dance & hospitality. Afternoon visit to Kanger Valley national park and a market. Overnight.

Day-11: (Jagadalpur -Kanker – 150 kms) After breakfast drive for Kanker on the way visiting Kondagaon tribal craft of Bell metal, Wrought iron and terracotta. Overnight at Kanker Palace.

Day-12: (Kanker- 100 kms) Full day visit to Muria tribal villages, See the Ghotul system in their village and enjoy their wonderful food with local Trudy . Afternoon visit their market. Overnight at the palace.
