Day 01 : Arrive CHENNAI

Upon arrival at Chennai meeting and assistance followed by transfer to hotel. Chennai is popular as the gateway to southern India, established in 1639 by the East India Company, is one of the oldest cities of the country. Assistance and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 02 : CHENNAI - COVELONG

After breakfast, half day sightseeing tour, visiting Gandhi Memorial, Kala Kshetra, Mylapore temple and Marine beach. Later drive to Covelong. Check in to the hotel and Overnight.

Day 03 : COVELONG - PONDICHERRY

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Pondicherry. On arrival check-in at hotel. Later half day city tour to Aurobindo Ashram, you will be transported to a world of bliss and peace. Here the day starts with meditation and visitors can look of Sri Aurobindo and his chief disciple Mother's room. You will also visit the Pondicherry Museum where among the artefacts you will see the discoveries of Arikamedu, Chola bronze items. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 : PONDICHERRY - THANJAVUR (237KMS / 6HRS)

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Thanjavur. On arrival check-in at hotel. Afternoon  visit Brihadeshwara Fort & Temple, which is a Chola architectural marvel. This is also listed in the world heritage site . Later visit Thanjavur Palace & Museum, which houses a library, museum and art gallery. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 05 : TANJAVUR - TRICHY - MADURAI

Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Madurai. En route visit Trichy. Trichy was the citadel of the Chola dynasty in the medieval period. In the 18th century it witnessed the Carnatic wars fought between the French and the English. Lord Robert Clive's house is still there to see and so is the Danish Church. The Rock-Fort is the landmark of Trichy. A climb of 434 steps leads to the ancient temple of Ganapati on top and a further climb to a Shiva temple. Later continue to Madurai. On arrival check-in at hotel and Overnight.

Day 06 : MADURAI - PERIYAR

After breakfast visit the great Meenakshi Temple dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering gopurams (rising high above the surrounding country side) visit the Thirumalai Nayak Palace - A gracious building in the Indo Saracenic style, famous for the Stucco work on its domes & arches. Later drive to Periyar. On arrival check-in at hotel and Overnight

Day 07 - THEKKADY (PERIYAR) - KUMARAKOM

After Breakfast enjoy the boat ride in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary to view the wildlife. The boat ride in the lake is delightful way of spotting Elephant and Avifauna, for which the park is well known. Afternoon drive to Kumarakom. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 08 : KUMARKOM - ALLEPPEY (27 KMS)

Enjoy the magic of backwater by going on a Houseboat (Kettuvallam) cruise across the backwaters. Spend the next 22 hours in your floating villa. Enjoy the backwaters of Kerala by getting a glimpse of the village life at close quarters; a unique and unforgettable experience. Enjoy the sunset & stay overnight on the houseboat.

Day 09 : ALLEPPEY - KOCHI - CHENNAI Departure

After breakfast drive to Cochin. On arrival at Cochin proceed for city tour of Cochin visit to Fort Cochin, Santa Cruz Basilica, Dutch Palace (Closed on Friday and Sunday, opening time 9:30 am to 4:00 pm) at Mattancherry, St. Francis Church and Chinese fishing nets. Later drive to airport to connect flight for onward journey,

Payment Terms :

• Advance 50% payment to book your seat
• 100% balance payment at least 30 days before the commencement of tour
• Refund policy in case of cancellation:
• 80% of total cost if cancelled 60 days or more before the commencement of tour
• 50% of total cost if cancelled 30 days to 59 days before the commencement of tour
• 20% of total cost if cancelled 16 days to 29 days before the commencement of tour
• No refund if cancelled 15 days or lesser before the commencement of tour

Date of cancellation will be the date of written (email) communication of intent to cancel, received by us. Refund amount will be calculated excluding the date of commencement of tour.

• By agreeing to participate in any of our tours, the participant confirms to understand and voluntarily agree to all the terms and conditions, including the below mentioned:
• Fitness to complete the Tour is the sole criterion for participation.

• Tour mentor's decisions during the tour are final and binding.

• All participants travelling with Tropical Vacations must complete and sign a Risk Release Agreement before the commencement of tour.
