Day-01: Delhi – Lucknow – Sravasti

In the morning, guests will leave Delhi for Lucknow and on arrival in Lucknow; guests will meet with our representative for the Buddhist pilgrimage tour and will be taken straight to Sravasti (170 km). On arrival at Sravasti, you will be checked in at the hotel.

Day-02: Sravasti – Lumbini

In the morning, after breakfast at hotel, guests will visit Sahet Mahet, capital of the ancient Kingdom of Kosala, Jetvana Vihar and Buddhist temples. Afterwards, guests will leave Sravasti for Lumbini which is in Nepal, where Buddha was born. On arrival at Lumbini, you will be duly checked in at hotel and stay overnight.

Day-03: Lumbini – Kushinagar

In the morning of the Buddhist pilgrimage India tour guests will visit the Maya Devi temple, Ashoka Pillar and Stupa, where you can take in the magnificent splendor of it all. Later, arrangements will be made to leave Lumbini for Kushinagar (161 km.) which is the place where Buddha entered perfect harmony and serenity. On arrival at Kushinagar, move to the hotel where guests will retire for the night.

Day-04: Kushinagar – Varanasi

In the morning, guests will visit the Mahaparinirvana temple and Ramabhar Stupa which is the cremation place of Lord Buddha. After breakfast, arrangements will be made to leave Kushinagar for Varanasi (260 km) and on arrival you will move to the hotel and stay overnight.

Day-05: Varanasi – Bodhgaya

Early in the morning of the Buddhism in India expedition, guests will be taken on a boat ride on river Ganges to get a glimpse at the Bathing and Cremation Ghats. Later, guests will be taken to the Bharat Mata temple, and Banaras Hindu University. Guests will then leave Varanasi for Bodhgaya (242 km), and visit Sarnath on the way. Sarnath is known as the Buddhist city where Buddha gave his First Sermon. You will then visit the Buddhist temple, Stupas, Museum and ruins. On arrival at Bodhgaya, you will be transported to the hotel where you will be free to relax.

Day-06: Bodhgaya – Patna

In the morning, guests will explore Bodhgaya which is the place where Lord Buddha achieved Enlightenment under the sacred Bodhi Tree. Guests will then be taken to the Mahabodhi Temple. You will then leave for Patna by visiting Rajgir and Nalanda on the way. In the afternoon, guests will visit the Gridhakuta Hill and Bimbisara jail. Guests will then drive to Nalanda which is 14 km drive and it was one of the oldest Universities of the World and International Centre for Buddhist Studies. On arrival at Patna, you will be travelling to Delhi.

Day-07: Patna – Kolkata

Arrive in Kolkata and then take the city tour. Stay overnight.

Day-08: Departure Kolkata for onward journey Or Tour Can be extended Kolkata - Bhubaneswar by Indian Rail , Overnight in Train

Take a boat ride at ganges and city tour. Back to the hotel for breakfast, thereafter proceed to the railway station for train to Bhuneswar.

Day-09: Arrive in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar, the Capital city of the modern State and the ancient kingdom of Kalinga, later this afternoon visit the Ekamra Crafts village and Markets. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day-10: Bhubaneswar

Tour the Temple City of Bhubaneswar by visiting the Mukteswara temple, the Rajarani temple and the Parasurameswara temple. PM: Visit the Caves - Khandagiri and Udaygiri hills which houses the multi-storied ancient apartment residence for the Jain monks. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day-11: Bhubaneswar – Puri

Today, proceed to visit the Nandankanan Zoo. Later, proceed to Puri en route visit Dhauli Ashok Edicts situated on the bank of the river Daya. Then visit Pipli, the Applique craft village and the Raghurajpur painting village. Check in at the hotel and relax at the beach. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day-12: Puri

Visit the Jagannath temple in Puri (N. B.: Non-Hindus are not allowed). Later, take the excursion to visit the Konark Sun Temple. In the evening, enjoy the Golden beach. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day-13: Puri-Chilika-Puri

Today, proceed for a day’s visit to Chilka Lake, famous for its migratory birds and Irrawaddy dolphins. The Chilka Lake in Odisha is the Asia's largest inland salt-water lagoon studded with small islands. Stay overnight in the hotel.

Day-14: Puri - Bhubaneswar Departure

Transport to the Airport for onward destinations.

• Advance 50% payment to book your seat
• 100% balance payment at least 30 days before the commencement of tour
• Refund policy in case of cancellation:
• 80% of total cost if cancelled 60 days or more before the commencement of tour
• 50% of total cost if cancelled 30 days to 59 days before the commencement of tour
• 20% of total cost if cancelled 16 days to 29 days before the commencement of tour
• No refund if cancelled 15 days or lesser before the commencement of tour

Date of cancellation will be the date of written (email) communication of intent to cancel, received by us. Refund amount will be calculated excluding the date of commencement of tour.
